So today's service ended late at 5:45pm, I had 30 minutes to
1) photocopy 10 copies of library meeting agenda for the members of the ministry
2) Talk to Yan Fen to get the photocopier code and get back my $165
3) Talk to Preacher's wu wife to get the list of books on joshua that the library can sell on Library Day
4) Talk to the principal of sunday school to discuss the possibility of screening shows for the kids after sunday school.
Upon rushing out of the library, I met Yan Fen first, settled both stuff, a second after I'm done, preacher's wu wife was sitting on the bench behind me and called for me. After I was done with her, I went up to do my photocopying and lo & behold, who do I meet but the principal of sunday school! Coincidence? In the span of 15 mins, I could settle all these efficiently and rapidly all thanks to God's arrangement. It might be a small thing but it was still helpful, all thanks to God =)
And once again, through emails, verses and sermons...I am once again reminded that obedience is better than sacrifice, to do all for the glory of God, not for man, self or others. I guess this means I need to be more responsible in my areas of vocation, commitments in school activities, ministries and need to always seek God's guidance in all areas as I have repeatedly forgot for a short moment before remembering to commit whatever I was going to do in His hands. This will not happen again.
Today, thankfully, the church camp committee has decided to do a simple powerpoint for advertisement instead of video (most likely due to their side on being slow in producing designs for me to use) that they have asked me to do BUT a lol-ed worthy moment was that just as sean, the camp comm rep grabbed me on my left shoulder to tell me that, the choir headmaster came and grabbed me on my right shoulder to ask me to do a video for the choir's anniversary in august! Thanks for the vote of confidence, God had granted me strength and creativity to produce the 35th anniversary masterpiece and I guess I have to continue serving in this area. Adult fellowship had briefly considered asking me last september (during my exams! ?) and I actually said yes (what the....) but thankfully, they decided on a powerpoint as well. I guess this meant the camp committee must have wanted me to do it during february (during my exams !?). Whew.
But once again, this reminds me of a ministry that the church has a need for and a ministry I would delight in serving within, be it leading or not, a video ministry! It will be real cool and a 'new' way of utilising the new media to spread the gospel and much much more. Unfortunately, as much as I want to start one, what needs to be done now must be settled before I embarked on proposing this idea to the committee lead by elders...prayfully, this will come to pass and I will have helpers in this area of service, I commit this possibility into His hands.
