Problems with speech

My father and I share similar problems: the problem of speech.

My dad loves to talk, but sometimes he talks nonsense, making him sound like an idiot, or pissing people off because they misunderstand. However, he still manages to make lots of friends, by being kind and caring towards them.

The root cause is the only similarity between me and him, I separate emotions from thinking, and what I think I say, making others look like idiots, and rather than just pissing people off, I hurt them regardless of the lack of any ill intentions. The outfall of the results is that I do not manage to make a lot of friends, and even those I do have, are consistently annoyed by me but only by their outstanding forgiveness and forebearances can I truly and continually call them friends, as mutual as it is.

I have been called uncaring, inconsiderate for speaking the truth which hurts. I need to sound caring to be caring, and be considerate to their feelings to be considered considerate while speaking. It is as if the contents is as important as the packaging itself, and I guess it is, who would accept a gift of gold wrapped in sheets of newspaper and expect nothing more than trash?

God help me please, I have a problem, I just don't know how to solve it.
