While fixing up a friend's laptop (which windows system files got corrupted due to improper shutdown)yesterday, I was treated to a cup of espresso since we were at coffee bean. One shot was the choice made and woah, for $3.40, it sure was...little but that's ok(can't get picky over a free drink!) other than it tasting like it was brewed by a chinese herbal sensei. Well, lesson learnt to choose something more tasteful next time, if there's one...like ice mocha. And oh, if anyone comes across this, a word of advice: if your laptop ever asks you to make recovery DVDs the first time you boot it up, you might want to do it if your package doesn't come with the recovery CDs/DVDs.
However...that's not the end of the story, I woke up gingerly this morning, went through my normal routine and halfway through my morning porridge, pangs of pain shot through my stomach. Oh how long haven't we met eh, Mr Stomachache. We reunite with a splashing quick entry into the nearest home lavatory and trashed out our differences. Round 1 ended. 2 more rounds came and go but victory was mine in the end Thank God!
While I am more than inclined to blame the espresso for the less than inspiring epic morning battles, I would caution those who have not tried one shot espresso coffee not to drink it on an empty stomach and uhm, mixing it with cold water might have been a bad idea as well. You and you alone are solely responsible for whatever happens to you if you attempt the two ideas together.
Ecclesiastes 8:15
"So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun."
P.S. I seemed to have lost my control panel and am unable to bold, italicised or change the colours of the text! Darn it blogger.
P.S.S
Blogger's text formatting buttons only officially work in Internet Explorer 5.5+/Windows, and the cross-platform Mozilla family of browsers (Mozilla 1.6+ and Firefox 0.9+). Meaning, we've fully tested them in these browsers. We recommend that our users use the latest release of Mozilla Firefox. MEANING my browers are too updated....-.- firefox, chrome, IE and safari all can't work...should I try opera?
P.S.S. Ctrl+F5 did the trick.
