[CM001]Christian Music - O Rejoice in the LORD

Taken off directly from an email I wrote to fellow brothers and sisters:

Starting from today, I would like to share with all of you some Christian songs that we may or may not have sung or heard before with the hope that you will be edified.

The songs are taken off from IMEEM music and converted into mp3s for you to listen to. In order to prevent flooding of your email due to size, the mp3s have been uploaded to mediafire for you to download.

Today's song will be 'O Rejoice in the LORD'.

Before you scroll down to the mp3 links section and begin downloading the mp3, please do consider reading through the lyrics section while listening to the mp3 and ponder upon the lyrics. More often than not, we may neglect what we are listening or singing so here's a good chance to read in detail the exact lyrics of 'O Rejoice in the LORD'.

LYRICS

"when I am tried
And purified,
I shall come forth as gold.

God never moves without purpose or plan
When trying His servant and molding a man.
Give thanks to the LORD though your testing seems long;
In darkness He giveth a song.

O Rejoice in the LORD
He makes no mistake,
He knoweth the end of each path that I take,
For when I am tried
And purified,
I shall come forth as gold.

I could not see through the shadows ahead;
So I looked at the cross of my Savior instead.
I bowed to the will of the Master that day;
Then peace came and tears fled away.

O Rejoice in the LORD
He makes no mistake,
He knoweth the end of each path that I take,
For when I am tried
And purified,
I shall come forth as gold.

Now I can see testing comes from above;
God strengthens His children and purges in love.
My Father knows best, and I trust in His care;
Through purging more fruit I will bear.

O Rejoice in the LORD
He makes no mistake,
He knoweth the end of each path that I take,
For when I am tried
And purified,
I shall come forth as gold."

RECOMMENDED READING
Book of Habakkuk / 哈 巴 谷 書
The Book of Habakkuk is unusual as a prophetic book in the way that it never addresses the people of Judah directly but rather is a dialogue between the prophet and God. The first two chapters are organized around Habakkuk's prayers (or complaints) and the Lord's replies. Habakkuk was troubled after being made aware of the future of Judah and further puzzled by God's plans of using a more wicked nation, Babylon to punish a less wicked nation, Judah. Although it can be read and seen that Habakkuk was unable to fully understand God's plans, he eventually learned to rely totally on the wisdom and justice of God. Amid suffering and loss, Habakkuk has learnt that he can trust God and with that trust comes great joy, not in the circumstances itself but in God himself.

Habakkuk 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
哈 巴 谷 書 3:18 然 而 , 我 要 因 耶 和 华 欢 欣 , 因 救 我 的   神 喜 乐 。

May the LORD, our saviour be our strength just as Yahweh became Habakkuk's strength through whatever path we may take for He makes no mistake and knoweth the end of each path that we take.

Low WeiYou

The site was introduced to me by Yingx2 which turned out to be a treasure trove of christian(and non-christian) songs but not all songs are hmm, good so I will forward everyone only the good stuff. If you would like more, just reply aye, if you want to be removed from the mailing list, reply nay. If the links are broken(shouldn't be), let me know and I will attach them in an email and forward to you.

Most importantly, if you have anything to add or would like to point out typos/errors, go ahead and reply.
